Mercury
Being the smallest and nearest planet to the Sun, Mercury possess no moon and barely an atmosphere. Did you know that a mercurian day is longer than a mercurian year?
Venus
First seen in 1610 by Gallileo Gallilei, Venus is known as Earth's sister. Or, more like "evil sister" for its crushing pressure and scorching temperature would instantly destroy us.
Earth
Our home planet! Mostly made of water and a dense atmosphere, which allows the existence of life. Furthermore, Earth is not a sphere - it's a geoid!
Mars
The redness of Mars is due to the elevated amount of iron on its surface. It also has the highest mountain in the entire solar system: Olympus Mons! One day, we might be able to live here.
Asteroid Belt
There is a vast ring-shaped region filled with asteroids that separates the rocky planets from the gas giants. Within it lies Ceres, a dwarf planets that contains half the mass of the entire asteroid belt.
Jupiter
The biggest gas giant in the system. Don't believe it? Its Great Red Spot could swallow Earth in one go! Other than that, its magnetic field attracts all meteors, sparing us the danger of collision.
Saturn
A peculiarity of this planet is their visible rings, naturally. However Saturn also possess most of the moons in the system.
Uranus
Uranus is a special planet - instead of turning, it rolls like a ball! Moreover, its moons are named after Shakespeare characters such as Juliet and Ophelia.
Neptune
The farthest planet from the Sun. To this day, there is controversy for who actually discovered it.
